Anna D'Alessandro

A long-term dance practitioner and somatic researcher, my work draws on ancient  and spiritual arts of living, particularly within Buddhist, Sufi, and Tantric traditions.
Anna's M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Bonn and Leeds gave her a profound appreciation for the architecture of human communication, how meaning is constructed, how we reach toward one another through words, and how the stories we tell shape the reality we inhabit. Language, for Anna, is never just information. It is a doorway.

Her studies in Buddhism and Modern Psychology at Princeton University, training in Core Shamanism with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, and certifications as a Reiki Master&Teacher and Kriya Yoga initiate all inform the energetic sensitivity and contemplative depth she brings to her work. Her Tantra Teacher Training with Inner Camp in Spain wove it all together — body, breath, presence, and the sacred — into an integrated way of holding space for others. Anna has a background in classical dance and is trained movement practices, such as Authentic Movement and Butoh as well as Somatic modalities such as Trauma and Touch.

 Anna is also a  Shibari educator and has a deep love of movement, co-creative facilitation, and the arts. She treats all of her work as an exploratory space for deepening connection with oneself and with others.

Anna welcomes everyone. She is kink and trauma-informed, and fully inclusive of people who are kinky, practise BDSM, or navigate open relationships, polyamory, or relationship anarchy. You will not be asked to edit, explain, or justify who you are or how you love. This is a space where the full range of human desire, identity, and connection is honoured.

It is from this whole, winding journey that Anna brings her work to the London Centre of Somatics — where somatics is not a technique, but a way of life. A way of listening, being, and coming home — fully — to yourself.
